BeautyBooker Founder Kate takes part in Aberdeen City Council School Initiative

Lift Off! Is the first online induction event for the senior students of Aberdeen City and now, more than ever, our young people need us to work together to help them prepare for this next phase in their journey. The new ABZ Works Pathways website will be launched at the event and is part of a wider project to facilitate and enhance positive and sustainable destinations. The recordings produced for this event will be held on the Aberdeen City Council ABZ Works Pathways website, if there is no objection to this.

Founder of BeautyBooker Kate says; ” It is an absolute honour to be given the chance to speak virtually to senior school pupils of Aberdeen, not only have they experienced a challenging time through both lockdowns, they have proved that they can adapt. I feel incredibly passionate about ensuring the next generation have the confidence to go forward with their ideas in life and I know this event will help inspire some amazing future leaders”

The Lift Off event, targeted at S4s and S5s will model a strengths-based approach, emphasising the range of future prospects open to them and what our young people  can offer. This will be explored through the following themes, “Who Am I?” and
“What’s My Story?”.

Lift Off presentations will raise awareness of different sectors and exciting job profiles which will be of value when considering future career pathways.
