Breaking News – The BeautyBooker Premises Finder is now LIVE!

Today, 1st June 2021, BeautyBooker – Scotland’s only dedicated hair and beauty technology company and the UK’s Most Innovative Hair and Beauty App 2020 – announced the newest addition to its rapidly growing portfolio. The new online tool, Premises Finder, has been designed to help UK hair and beauty professionals find their next workspace, and salon owners promote their premises.

Kate Stott, Scottish Business Woman of the Year 2019 and founder of BeautyBooker, said: “I realised a few years ago that there was no dedicated and targeted online tool for the hair and beauty sector listing chairs, rooms or shops to rent. We desperately needed something to connect hair and beauty professionals with those who could offer them their next work home.

“The end result is a win-win. Hair and beauty professionals can find their next workspace when they need it – quickly, easily and all in one place. They’ll be able to search all available spaces with just one click. They can secure a new work place in seconds. And they’ll be first to hear about new-on-the-market premises.

“For those with spaces to fill, we will take care of the legwork for them by advertising to industry professionals themselves.”

Kate, who is a fierce champion of the sector and also developed Scotland’s first dedicated hair and beauty training directory – The Training Hub, continues: “Our business model would have seen us launching this service in 2023 but the pandemic changed things. It’s essential that hair and beauty bounces back and I believe Premises Finder has a unique role to play in this, connecting industry professionals who may otherwise never have found one another.

It was recently reported by the British Beauty Council that 7,300 salons in the UK have gone out of business since March 2020. We know that this addition to the BeautyBooker portfolio will ensure that professionals have a sector specific platform for an industry that has been somewhat left out of the tech evolution so far.”

“Not only that – with our high streets looking like ghost towns, Premises Finder can help bring life back to Scottish cities. It’s a powerful tool that will boost town centre recovery as it pairs professionals seeking a space with those desperate to fill theirs.”

As well as masterminding this all-encompassing online tool during the pandemic, Kate led 1,700 hair and beauty businesses through the global crisis. The BeautyBooker COVID-19 Support Group Scotland provided much-needed comfort and guidance to industry professionals on topics ranging from business to mental health, whilst Kate personally lobbied and liaised with those in Scottish government to ensure the hair and beauty sector was heard.

Later this month Kate will attend the 25th National Economic Forum led by the First Minister.
